My Group for the Preliminary Task. (Port 5)

Port 5
My Group for the Preliminary Task.

My group for this task consists of 4 people :
  1. Myself
  2. Sam
  3. Zac
  4. Joe
Why am I working with this group :

The reason I have chosen to work with my specific group other than the fact I want to explore working with others I do not usually tend to work with, was due to both of my fellow group members having appeared to have creative ideas and enthusiasm when I have witnessed them in previous lesson tasks. Zac appears to have media experience having taken GCSE Media and achieving a high and respectable grade whereas although Sam has not taken Media Studies in his previous education he is very imaginative and creative with ideas I have seen him share with the class as well as showing his determination to do well in the Media Studies course at AS and A2 level as well as being very good at working with computers/Mac's which may become useful in the short editing process.

What will each member bring to the group

Myself and Zac will be bringing experience of media to the group. We both to a Media Studies course at GCSE level and therefore are experienced in filming and creating extracts by using media techniques  and we may use our past knowledge and experience of creating films to our advantage as we know how to set up and deliver all camera shots at an appropriate level. I am fairly experienced in filming and directing as this is a major role I took during my GCSE piece and therefore I may know how to set up the shots and may be a strong voice in how we set up each shot so it is produced in the appropriate and most professional way possible . Sam and Joe will be able to bring the technological side of the filming, he will be a heavy influence during the small editing process as he has good experience with technology and when we have to bring our short clips together he will be able to achieve this quickly and efficiently however will help make sure that the short clip looks professional and flows well.
